With OpenText MBPM, when you load the Web Client or a form a long delay occurs. The length of this delay has been observed to be up to two and a half minutes.

Resolution:

On loading the OpenText Web Client or an OpenText MBPM form for the first time on runtime the .net framework communicates via the internet for code retrieval.

This functionality is enabled by default in .net 4.0 and 3.5 and is not required by the Assure application. For servers where connection to the internet has been disabled additional delay on first load of a form results whilst this request times out.

To disable this the following steps should be applied on each application / web server:

1. Locate the Machine.config files within the following directories:

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\machine.config
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Config\machine.config
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\machine.config
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Config\machine.config

It is strongly recommended that you take a backup of these files before making any changes.

2. Within the Machine.config file locate the tag and replace it with the following:

<runtime>
        <generatePublisherEvidence enabled="false"/>
</runtime>

3. Save the changes to the files and run IISRESET from the command line on the server.
4. Browse to the OpenText MBPM Web Client to test.
